The National Medical Commission (NMC), on July 23, 2026, announced the operationalisation of the Online Ethics Appeal Portal for Registered Medical Practitioners (RMPs) to file first appeals under Section 30(3) and second appeals under Section 30(4) of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019. The initiative aims to ensure a transparent and expeditious appeal process.
RMPs can file appeals through the Appeal section on the NMC website or by logging into the dedicated online portal. With effect from the date of the public notice, all ethics appeals under the National Medical Commission Act, 2019 must be submitted exclusively through the Online Ethics Appeal Portal, replacing the earlier filing mechanism.
The NMC has advised appellants to upload all required supporting documents while filing appeals to avoid deficiencies and processing delays. The online portal is expected to streamline the appeal process, improve transparency, and facilitate efficient disposal of ethics-related appeals.
